I developed Walkabout Pouch because I love working and playing with mobile technology. And I love the outdoors and working outside, but it was hard to take my tech with me without sacrificing safety, security, or comfort.
Several prototypes and patent reviews later, I am proud to share the Walkabout Pouch with you.

VERSATILE COMPATABILITY
The Pouch allows you to use your mobile devices hands-free, in a lightweight, body-hugging front-pack. And it isn’t just for tablets and laptops. You can use other compatible items like clipboards, notepads, consoles, VR equipment, and controllers for drones and other remote control tools.

Devices are fragile and costly- making it expensive for organizations when they get damaged. And when devices are lost or left-behind it's a serious security risk since they can expose the organization to a data-breach. HOW IS WALKABOUT SAFER THAN OTHER OPTIONS?At Walkabout Pouch, we know first-hand what it's like to be on a job site, or just on-the-go and wishing we had a safer way to boost our productivity and mobility by having our laptop or tablets handy- without compromising our safety or the safety of others around them. That's why we have designed the Walkabout Pouch to succeed where others have tripped up. Walkabout Pouches are designed with advanced safety features such as secure closures and adjustable straps to ensure that your devices are held securely in place, reducing the risk of accidental drops or damage. Hanging straps: - Present a risk of dropping the device. - Risk repetitive use injury as they require a constant hand grip. - Unproductive, as the user only has one hand free to operate device. Mobile desk / wearable laptop or tablet vest: - Desks are unwieldy, bulky, and may cause severe physical injury if user falls or is impacted in any way (metal parts, rods, bolts, levers, hinges, plates, sharp edges). - Wearable vests are bulky, heavy, and have straps along the side of the tablet preventing easy operation. Carrying cases: - Inefficient, as they are only used for storing and transporting. The tablet must still be taken out and put back away when finished. - The user must determine where to safely place the device to use it, or how to hold the device during use, making this an inefficient method. By comparison, the Walkabout Pouches are multifunctional, lightweight, and have a slim profile compared to the competition.

DO I NEED TO USE VELCRO TO ATTACH MY DEVICE?Industrial strength velcro is the safest option we’ve tested, and it doesn’t require a WP proprietary fitting for every type of device. If you don’t want to attach the strip of Velcro to your device, we recommend attaching the Velcro to a device case.

HOW DO I ADJUST MY POUCH FOR A MORE SECURE FIT?To adjust the fit of your WP, pull the side straps through the clip. If there is some extra length of webbing, you can secure it with the self-sticking cuff, found at the lower end of each strap. (Shown in image)
